Robyn Performs Medley of “Between the Lines” and “Love Is Free” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon
- Swedish electro-pop singer-songwriter Robyn appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform a medley of “Between the Lines” and “Love Is Free”.
“Between the Lines” is included on her latest album “Honey”, which was released last October for the first time in 8 years.
The song is influenced from '90s dance music. She said, “Throughout the whole album, I was interested in rhythms that that get repeated in many different ways in dance music. Pop songs have their peaks, but with club music, it’s about the groove and liking where you’re at in that moment, riding a wave. Dancing changed my way of listening to music.”
“Love Is Free” appeared on her 2015's EP of the same title. On the original version, she worked with La Bagatelle Magique. The EP reached No. 1 on the US Top Dance/Electronic Albums.
She performed the song with New York dance-rapper Maluca, who guested on the original version.
Robyn is currently on tour in the US, with upcoming stops in San Francisco and Los Angeles, and will head to Europe in August. She is also scheduled to perform at Pitchfork Music Festival 2019 in Chicago on July 21st and at Austin City Limits Music Festival on October 13th.
