Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Metric Premieres New Music Video for “Risk”
Canadian rock band Metric has dropped a new music video for “Risk”, directed by Duane Fernandez.
The song is taken from their seventh studio album “Art of Doubt”, which was released last September. It was written by Metric, Joules Scott-Key, James Shaw, Joshua Winstead and Emily Haines.
Vocalist Emily Haines said of the song, “addresses the disorienting speed at which our connections are made and discarded, where our emotional survival depends on dexterous texting, and our ability to communicate collapses outside our devices.” She continued, “Self-sabotage, defensiveness and cynicism cause things to end before they begin, and the cycle repeats itself. But all is not lost: ‘There’s another way to leave the garden of Eden and I’m inclined to try.'”
The band recently kicked off a Canadian arena tour, the next stop is on April 26th in Toronto, Ontario.- source : Rolling Stone
