The Orphan The Poet Premieres New Song “Money”
Columbus-based alt-rock band The Orphan The Poet has released a new song “Money”. The song was premiered exclusively on PopMatters.
The track is bright rock sound. The band said of the song, "Posh things have never been super important to us. This is our cheers to the low life, and hanging with someone you care about."
The song is the first single of the 2018, following the previously released single "Still Buzzin'". The single is currently on Spotify's New Music Friday, The New Alt, New Noise playlists.
The Orphan The Poet was formed in Columbus, OH. Originally the band consisted of a 4-piece, but band is currently composed of David Eselgroth (Vocals/Guitar), Jake Floyd (Bass), and Sam Gordon (Drums).
In 2016, the band released a debut EP "Terrible Things". Followed by, the babd released "Still Buzzin" in 2017. The song was supported by BBC Radio 1, SiriusXM's Alt Nation, ALT105.7 in Atlanta + Radio104.5 and CD102.5.
The Orphan The Poet will be hitting the road as support with American indie pop band The Score in September and October. The tour kicks off at House of Blues Houston in Houston on September 16th.
