Los Angeles-based alt-pop band lovelytheband dropped a new music video for “these are my friends” directed by Hoeg/Beach.
The song is the second singel following a debut song "Broken", which is included on their debut EP "Everything I Could Never Say..." the released in 2017. The debut song racked up over three million streams on Spotify.
lovelytheband was formed in 2016. Led by former Oh Honey member Mitchy Collins along with guitarist Jordan Greenwald, and drummer Sam Price.
Mitchy Collins said of the song;
“That song is all about all the good and bad parts about me–I touch on that stuff a lot obviously in our music…whether I like it or not, good or bad, they make me the person I am and I wouldn’t change any of it because it’s brought me to where I am in life. I’m very fortunate to be doing what we’re doing. But also the song touches on these are my friends, I love them, they’re the people that are there for me when I’m down. I like to keep it pretty honest.”- The trio is currently touring in North America, the UK and Europe through to November 2018.
The band will perform at Billboard Hot 100 Music Festival on August 18th along with Halsey, Kehlani, Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, Krewella, among others.
Also the trio will appear on Music Midtown 2018 at Piedmont Park in Atlanta on September 15th. The festival features BØRNS, Twin Shadow, The Revivalists, Robert DeLong, Portugal. The Man and Foster The People.
