Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Interpol Premieres New Music Video for “The Rover”
New York-based indie rock band Interpol premiered a new music video for “The Rover” directed by Gerardo Naranjo.
The video stars "Girls" and "The Punisher" actor Ebon Moss-Bachrach as a spiritual vagabond. The video was filmed in Mexico-City.
The song is the first taste from their upcoming sixth studio album "Marauder", which is set to be released on August 24, 2018.
It was written by Sam Fogarino, Daniel Kessler and Paul Banks.
The new album is their first LP since 2014's "El Pintor". The band will head out on a North American tour in August. The tour kicks off
at Union Transfer on August 23 and will conclude at Madison Square Garden New York on February 16, 2019.

The band member Paul Banks said of the video;
"I like to describe the video for “The Rover” as a prequel. It’s the origin story of the character described in the song, the birth of a cult leader. When we meet him he is partly unhinged. He’s a man on the verge, an artist subjected to great pressures, and beset with existential frustrations. A distracted hipster who enjoys psychedelics, let’s say."- source : Pitchfork
