- XYLØ Premieres New Song “Don't Panic”
- American electro-pop brother-and-sister duo XYLØ has released a new song “Don't Panic”. The song was premiered exclusively on Billboard.
The duo plans to release a new song per month this year, with a video to accompany each one. The track is one of them, following "Heaven Only Knows".
It was written by Clara Hagman, Cassandra Ströberg, Paige Duddy, Lee Newell and Jimmy Harry.
A half of the duo, Paige Duddy told Billboard about the song;
"There's a lot of real bass, a lot of electric guitar but still in that electronic pop way. I wanted 'Heaven Only Knows' to feel raw and stripped-back. But most of the other songs are in the same mold as 'Don't Panic,' which I think will feel more familiar to people.
Most of the other music I wrote was kind of about relationships and what I was going through at the time. I wanted ('Don't Panic') to be more empowering, but without being so on-the-nose with it. I wanted to write a song that felt carefree and cheeky with a message about being young and not wanting to take things so seriously and don't sweat the small stuff, whether that's in a relationship, specifically, or in life in general. I just wanted to write something that felt fun and easygoing."
