  • Alberta Cross Premieres New Music Video for “Find A Home Out There”

  • Anglo-Swedish rock band Alberta Cross released a new song “Find A Home Out There” with an accompanying music video. The song was premiered exclusively on Billboard.

    The track will appear on their upcoming sixth studio album "What Are We Frightened Of?", which is expected to be released this fall.
    The album was recorded in East London with producer Luke Potashnick and drummer Tom The Lion. It is their first LP since 2015's self-titled album.
    Alberta Cross was formed in 2005 in London, consisting of Petter Ericson Stakee (guitar) and Terry Wolfers (bass). But Terry Wolfers left the band in 2013.
    Petter Ericson Stakee is currently as the only permanent member of the band.
    He says the album almost finished, with another session coming up in London to wrap up the vocals.

    Petter Ericson Stakee told Billboard about the song;
    "It's one of the first song we worked on for the record, and the whole emotional vibe of it tied a lot of the record together. It's just about being forever in transit, which is what happens when you're in music, and then hitting a point where you just feel like you want to find something more constant -- still travel, because that's what you have to do when you're touring in a band, but also finding your home, a more spiritual, stable place to be. A base, I guess."
    About the video, "It's about forever moving, forever in transit, kind of being the passenger and just looking out at the world," he said.
  • He said of the album and the tour;
    "(The album) is dealing with different kinds of subjects, but I'm kind of singing about finding a home out there and summing up different places I've been in. It's just about the whole journey, the whole transit of life.
    We're planning to start to tour when the record comes out. Right now I really want to drop this song and hopefully finish off the record in the next couple of weeks and we can start planning on hitting the road. I love to tour, so I definitely miss it."
