The Kills Performs “List of Demands (Reparations)” on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert
British-American indie rock band The Kills appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, where the band performed their latest song “List of Demands (Reparations)”.
The song was released in February 2018. The music video, directed by Ben Strebel, was premiered on May 1st.
Originally, the track was written by Saul Williams in 2004. The song appeared on his self-titled second studio album.
Saul Williams said of Kills cover version;
"I always felt envious of the way the 60’s generation shared songs and ideologies. Jimi singing Dylan. Rotary Connection singing Otis Redding. The Stones singing the blues. This is all part of the beauty and power of music and it reverberates deeply in me. All this to say, I’m honored. I liked The Kills before they chose to cover ‘LOD.’ If they can feel themselves in that song, it’s because they are as much a part of it as I am."- fnd63htmJHk

- Lead singer Alison Mosshart said;
"It was one of those songs you're almost scared to cover, because it carries so much respec. It wasn't a straight up love song or a drug song. It was defined, serious, and perfect already. With certain songs, you feel like an intruder trying to sing them, but this one felt like my own."
The Kills recently launched a world tour, which includes shows alongside Saul Williams and Foo Fighters.
Also the band will performed at Velorama Festival on August 17. The festival features Glass Animals, Cold War Kids, Matt And Kim, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Hop Along, Cults, Lo Moon, Brent Cowles and more.
