Rachel Platten Releases New Song “Bad Thoughts”
American singer-songwriter Rachel Platten released a new song “Bad Thoughts” on April 26, 2024.
The song is the second single of 2024, following the release of “Mercy” back in January.
The track was written by Kyan Palmer, Nick Lee, and Rachel Platten. Produced by Jason Evigan and Gian Stone.
Rachel Platten said of the song, “I’m so proud to finally have this song out in the world. I wrote it in 2020 right after (my first) intense battle with postpartum depression. Reflecting back on the darkest moments when I’d felt scared and alone, I channeled what I needed to hear.”
She continued, “Originally titled, 'Listen to this if you’re having a panic attack', these were the words I repeated over and over again when I was suffering. 'I’m bigger than these bad thoughts.' The guided breaths between the choruses were my reminders to return and ground myself again and again. It became my medicine.
