HANSSØN Premieres New Music Video for “Always High”
- New York-based singer-songwriter Tamara Hansson, aka HANSSØN dropped a new music video for “Always High”, directed by Aramie Payton. The video was premiered exclusively on CelebMix.
“Always High” was released from her upcoming debut EP "Colours of The Fall" as HANSSØN on April 27th.
The track is like '90s pop sound and reminds us of Madonna's album "Something to Remember".
HANSSØN said of the song, “wanting to love someone who is too consumed with themselves to love you back. They’re “high” on themselves, ego-tripping, just on a different wave length, it’s not really about drugs, but more missing that connection, or seeing that they’re disconnected with what’s going on around them.”
The debut EP comprises of 7-track and scheduled to be released in August, 2018.
Tamara Hansson grew up in Australi and moved to the UK in 2010. But she moved to New York to take on a course she received a scholarship for musical theatre in 2011.
She released a debut EP "The Apartment Sessions" under the name Tamara Hansson in 2014.
Her music is influenced from Sia, Janelle Monáe, Kimbra, Lilly Allen, and Beyonce.
She said, “I just feel like sometimes I’m fighting preconceived ideas about what being a woman is, growing up the way we did and when we did. So seeing women completely be in charge of their career and have that kind of power and even confidence to pursue what they want is inspiring.”
