Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Years & Years Premieres “If You're Over Me” on Apple Beats 1
London-based synthpop band Years & Years has dropped a new song “If You're Over Me” following previously released "Sanctify".
It was written by Olly Alexander and Steve Mac. Also The band premiered the accompanying vertical video for “If You're Over Me” on Spotify.
The song will appear on their upcoming sophomore album “Palo Santo”, which is set to be released on July 6, 2018.
The album will also feature the full-length version of the song "Hypnotised", previously only used in part in a short film for fashion company H&M's collection by British designer Erdem.
Olly Alexander said of the song;
"This is a song about trying to stay friends with an ex. Spoiler alert – it doesn’t often work. In fact, in my experience, the relationship often ends up ruined. “If You’re Over Me” is about the emotional torture that ensues – meeting up and making out, then breaking up all over again, then making out some more."-
