On April 15, Florida Georgia Line and Bebe Rexha performed their latest collaboration song “Meant to Be” at the 2018 ACM Awards. Three days after, they appeared on The Ellen Degeneres Show.
The song is appear on Bebe Rexha's theird EP "All Your Fault: Pt. 2", which was released in August 2017. It was produced by Willshire and written by Tyler Hubbard (of FGL), Bebe Rexha, David Garcia and Josh O. Miller. The muisc video for it was premiered last October, directed by Sophie Muller.
The track debuted atop the Hot Country Songs chart and has spent 20 weeks at number one. She became the first female artist to ever debut atop the chart and the third artist overall in country music history. The song currently sits at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Bebe Rexha said of the song in an interview with Billboard;
“Meant to Be” is a cool pivoting moment for me, because now I get to [be] more of a raw, real Bebe. It’s going back to my roots; it’s exciting. I grew up in Staten Island with two immigrant parents, and I expected so much from my career. You think a hit song or fame will bring you something, or that finding love will bring you something. Growing up, we expect [certain] things, but the best thing to do is go in open-minded and just see what happens."- source : Billboard
