- Young Rising Sons Premieres New Song “+WHISKEY-” on SoundCloud
- New Jersey-based indie pop band Young Rising Sons has delivered a new song “+WHISKEY-” via SoundCloud and other streaming music services.
The song follows up "+HEIGHTS- (naked_demo)", and "Undefeatable", which were released in 2017, respectively.
The track reminds us of New York indie band Fun, but the sound is more Rock and modern hard pop. The band draws frankly and empathetically with issues of addiction.
About the new song, Andy Tongren told Baeble;
"To be put simply, '+WHISKEY-' is about addiction, whether it be to a substance, activity, or another human. It's easy for lines to blur and for your judgement to become distorted when you're so dependent upon something. You fall into this push/pull routine where you can't help but continue to come back to the source, no matter the misery it causes. '+WHISKEY-' is about the moment where you have to say yes."
- Young Rising Sons is better known for the single "High", which was featured in the NHL Awards, MLB Network, Carson Daly, NBC Summer Image Campaign in 2014. The single was also featured on Fox’s hit television show "Red Band Society" and ABC’s "Selfie" in 2014.
Young Rising Sons was formed in 2010 in Red Bank. Originally, the band consisted of Dylan Scott (vocals, guitar), Julian Dimagiba (bass), and Steve Patrick (drums). Afterwards Andy Tongren (vocals, guitar) joined in the band. But Dylan Scott left the band in 2016. Currently, the band is composed trio.
The band has released three EPs "Young Rising Sons" (2014), "The High" (2014) and "The Kids Will Be Fine" (2015), to date.
The single "High" from EP "The High" racked up over ten million streams, and another track "Habits (Stay High)," which earned more than 3.5 million online plays.
