Los Angeles-based German singer-songwriter Kim Petras has released a new song “Heart To Break”, produced by Cirkut and Dr. Luke.
The track is included on her self-titled debut album, which is set to be released in 2018. It was written by Henry Russell Walter, Aaron Joseph, Dr. Luke, Jacob Kasher and Kim Petras. The song is like ’80s pop with upbeat.
The 25-year-old singer told Billboard about the song;
“[‘Heart To Break’] was kind of summing up my heartbreak experiences but making a fun song about them. It’s describing the part of you that is about to make a mistake and knows you’re making a mistake, but you don’t care because you still want to jump in and do it.
When I hear heartbreak songs I always feel like ‘O.K. that’s exactly how I feel... I’m not the only person who fell in love like a stupid person. I love songs like that; they just make me feel like I’m not alone. So I hope that it does that for somebody, but also I hope people can get really drunk and sing along and party.”-
