N.E.R.D. Premieres New Music Video for “Lemon” featuring Rihanna
American funk rock band N.E.R.D. teamed up with Rihanna, who released a new song "Lemon" and dropped a music video on November 1. The track is received its first play during Apple Beats 1.
The video was directed by Todd Tourso and Scott Cudmore, featuring a woman, who is Pharrell's real life dancer Mette Towley.
The song is their first single in 7 years since "Hypnotize U".
Rihanna said, "I pull up with a lemon... your eyes get acidic. This beat tastes like lunch".
N.E.R.D. was formed by Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo in 1999. Afterwards, Shay Haley joined in the group.
They signed to Virgin Records, since then the band released a debut album "In Search Of..." in 2002 and second album "Fly or Die" in 2004.
The band left Virgin Records and made contract with Star Trak Entertainment. In 2008, third album "Seeing Sounds" was released. Their last album "Nothing" was released in 2010, but they mentioned that the next album would not be released that due to the projects Pharrell Williams was working on with other artists.
The group reunited on December 26, 2014 to release the songs "Squeeze Me," "Patrick Star," and "Sandy Squirrel" for the film The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water.-
