Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Jake Bugg Premieres New Music Video for “Waiting” Featuring Noah Cyrus
English singer-songwriter Jake Bugg teamed up with American singer Noah Cyrus (sister of Miley Cyrus), both of singers released a new music video for “Waiting”, directed by Andrew Douglas.
The track is taken from his fourth studio album “Hearts That Strain”, which was released in September 2017.
The new album contains 11-track and he recorded in Nashville for the first time.
When Billy Ray Cyrus came to the studio, who is friend of Bugg’s producer David Ferguson, he heard the song “Waiting” and suggested his daughter Noah contribute vocals.
About the song, Jake Bugg said;
“I’m a writer, I’m not a great singer or anything. That’s why it was nice to hear one of my songs sung really, really well for a change, by someone who’s actually a professional at it. It’s nice to have someone from a more pop background to sing on it – Noah’s got a great voice with a bit of a country twang on it.”- He talked about the new album;
“So on this album I wrote three songs on the piano. Bobby Woods was there though to play it on the album so I was obviously gonna let him play. He’s amazing. I’d be at home and I’d write, then I’d go to Nashville for a week, and that happened three times. I’ve always loved country music. It’s quite subtle on the album, just in spots… if it were steel guitar over every song I don’t think it’d work as well.”
He will embark tour in support of the new album in Europe, North America and the UK on October 15. The tour will conclude at Brighton Dome in the UK on March 13, 2018.
