New York-based singer-songwriter Liv Lombardi has released a new song "Hazel & White" via SoundCloud. The track was premiered exclusively on Vents Magazine.
The song is the first single off her upcoming sophomore album "Freedom Girl" which is expected to be released later in 2017.
After graduation of Santa Fe University of Art and Design, she had toured across the United States, Europe and over 10 countries and 40 cities for three years.
In 2012, she released a debut album "Self-Medicate".
About the new song, Liv Lombardi said;
“Hazel & White is a song about lust and longing that comes up in complete and utter solitude. It's a bit of crazy-making and wild brain noise! It was inspired by another solo tour I did and the lovesickness I felt at the time. While I was driving through Wyoming, there was a way I couldn't get a friend of mine out of my head and it surprised me how much I wanted her. I also had no one else to talk to in the car, so I was constantly recording myself with my handheld recorder and playing it back to myself. It was a means of coping with the solitude and loneliness of the landscape around me. When the tour was over, I listened back to the self-talk I had recorded in the previous weeks and this song was very much there already. The vibe is sensual and bordering on controlled chaos. Essentially we were aiming to re-create the feeling of the inner monologue in my head as I drove into nothingness.”- She embarks her own tour to promote the new album at Second Street Brewery Rufina Taproom in Santa Fe on September 30, 2017. The tour will conclude at Evolution Music in Chicago on November 2.
