Norwegian singer-songwriter Oda Evjen Gjøvaag, aka ODEE has released a debut song "Run To You" via Spotify.
The track was written by Oda Evjen Gjøvaag and Magnus Bertelsen. It’s a perfect radio-ready pop.
Oda Evjen Gjøvaag participated in TV show Idol in 2006 and finished eighth. Eleven years later, she debuted as ODEE.
Currently, she is based in Los Angeles and plans to release her debut EP sometime this year.
Recently, she joined MVGNIFICENT's remix "Let Me Blow Ya Mind" as a guest vovals. Original song is performed by EVE featuring Gwen Stefani.
On the debut song, she has worked with producer Magnus Bertelsen, who is her fiance. She told VG in the interview (Original Language Norwegian), "Magnus is my right hand, and of course has made the production of 'Run To You,' while I wrote the song. I can say 'I want this to sound as if I've just come out of prison and is now heading to the store to buy flat bread', and he knows at once exactly what I mean."
About the debut song, she explained to POPMAG in another interview (Original Language Norwegian);
"The song is a little darker and more melancholic type pop - a style that I have been very concerned for many years. Looking at the charts now that people are starting to take pop seriously. Pop does not have to be childish and it is a style that suits me perfectly."-
