- Stockholm-based singer-songwriter Kassandra has delivered a new song "No Longer Lovers" via SoundCloud. The song is taken from her upcoming debut EP "Fantasma", which is expected to be released later in 2017. Produced by Martin Eriksson.
The track follows up "Delete", which was released in February 2016. But it is the first single after she left Capitol Records.
Kassandra made a debut in the music scene in 2011. She released independently "Abdicate" and "RUN" in 2014, respectively.
She signed to Capitol Records in 2015 and released "Lovefool", the following "Delete" was released in 2016.
In 2017, she decided to leave the major label, started her new music journey.
About the new song, she wrote on her Facebook page;
"'No Longer Lovers' was born back in 2014, on a 8 hour bus ride down to the south of Sweden. I was on my way to work with a producer called Martin Eriksson for the first time (who since functions as my musical soulmate in the studio). This was the first song we started working on the night I arrived and has carried several names, atmospheric shapes and layers of synths and sounds up until one day when we decided to peal it all off, layer by layer. Darling by darling. And left was the core of the feelings I express in the lyrics."
