HBO has released the official trailer for “Brexit: The Uncivil War”, directed by Toby Haynes, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Rory Kinnear, Liz White and John Heffernan.
The film is based on the Leave and Remain campaigns, which is whether the UK leaves form the EU in referendum or not.
The film focuses on those who acted behind-the-scenes to influence the political campaigns, target voters through social media.
Benedict Cumberbatch played as Dominic Cummings, who served as the Campaign Director of Vote Leave, the campaign in favour of leaving the European Union for the United Kingdom European Union membership referendum in 2016.
In addition, Rory Kinnear played as Craig Oliver, Prime Minister David Cameron’s director of communications, John Heffernan played as Matthew Elliott, the founder of a data technology company.
Benedict Cumberbatch said, “The campaign was the most extraordinary story, one of the most extraordinary stories in all the history of politics. It really encapsulated that for me.”
