American singer-songwriter Tori Amos announced her sixteenth studio album “Ocean to Ocean” would be released on October 29, 2021.
The album was written and recorded in Cornwall during lockdown as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and explores “a universal story of going to rock bottom and renewing yourself all over again”.
From the album, she unveiled a new song “Speaking With Trees” on September 29, 2021.
She turns to nature to find hope in the midst of difficult times on the track.
It was written and produced by Tori Amos.
The new album is her first LP in four years and comprises of 11-track.
“We have all had moments that can knock us down,” Tori Amos said in a statement. “This record sits with you where you are, especially if you are in a place of loss. I am fascinated when someone has gone through a tragedy, and how they work through their grief. That is where the gold is. When somebody is actually at that place, thinking ‘I’m done,’ how do you reach that person? Sometimes it’s not about a pill, or a double shot of tequila. It’s about sitting in the muck together.
