American singer-songwriter Jack Antonoff's solo project Bleachers will release his upcoming third studio album “Take The Sadness Out Of Saturday Night” on July 30, 2021.
From the album, he unveiled a new song “Secret Life” as the last promotional single on July 29.
He worked with American singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey on the track.
It was written by Jack Antonoff and Patrik Berger.
The new album is his first LP in four year. He began recording the album in late 2019 and completed during the pandemic.
The album comprises of 10-track, featuring guest appearances from Lana Del Rey and Bruce Springsteen.
It is revelatory album rooted in a 2017 break-up. Jack Antonoff shared on socual media, “take the sadness out of saturday night is an album about banging on the door of the next phase of your life. all the hope that comes with that as well as the horror when it doesnt swing open. you realize how much you have to find peace with to be able to break through. starting to move in life is exactly the moment that you have to come to terms with how much you are dragging around with you and choose what comes and what has to be left behind. its an incredible time that can also break you. take the sadness out of saturday night is that story. from darkness into a glimmer of hope. and sonically from new york into new jersey. the story of going home to find the future.”- source : Spotify
