Tokio Hotel & VIZE Release Cover of The Who's “Behind Blue Eyes”
German rock band Tokio Hotel teamed up with Berlin-based DJ duo VIZE again to release a cover of British rock band The Who's “Behind Blue Eyes”.
This collaboration follows up “White Lies”, which was released back in January.
The original version of the song was released by The Who in 1971 from their fifth studio album “Who's Next”. Also it was written by the band guitarist Pete Townshend for his rock opera Lifehouse project.
The accompanying music video was directed by Baris Aladag. The video features the band live performance on ProSieben's Germany's Next Topmode.
Before the release the song, Tokio Hotel shared on social media, “Rehearsing for the BEHIND BLUE EYES Video. This is going to be crazy! We are not just going to perform our new single as a world premiere next Thursday on #gntm we are also shooting the actual music video live with Baris Aladag while performing. 3 days rehearsals, lots of prep for something that's never been done on German television. Only one chance to make it right. This will be a huge challenge for the team, for us and of course for the models.”- source : Spotify
