Future Jr. Shares New EP “If You Don't Look Back”: Streaming
- Back in February, Australian singer-songwriter Matthew Nainby, aka Future Jr. released his fourth EP “If You Don't Look Back”.
The EP comprises of 4-track, including preceding singles “Running Away” and “Love In Colour”.
The EP is the third part of trilogy, other parts “EP001 - I Think You'll Find” and “EP002 - Things Get Better” were released in 2020.
Matthew Nainby shared on social media, “Bringing us to the end of a year's worth of releases! I've loved sharing them all with you guys, and it definitely feels like the end of a season. All the titles of these 3 EP's come together to spell something - 'I think you'll find things get better if you don't look back' - it's the summary of a realisation I had coming into these releases. Your past doesn't define you, only your future defines you. I would often look back to the past and long for the days where things 'were better', but by doing that I was robbing myself of the joys of the present, and the promises of the future. Slowly, but surely, I learnt to stop looking inward and started looking outward and onward. The name 'Future Jr.' is based on a quote from my favourite author; 'One day, you'll be old enough to read fairytales again'. When I decided on that moniker it was a statement of hope, that one day, I would regain the zest and passion for life that I had once had when I was younger. I am blessed to say that this dream has become realised now. This music has been a timecapsule and timestamps for my life. Thank you for allowing me to do that, and thank you for listening along the way. I'm not sure what is next for 'Future Jr.' - but from the bottom of my heart, thank you.”
