American singer-songwriter H.E.R. dropped a new music video for “Fight For You” from the original motion picture “Judas and the Black Messiah” soundtrack.
The song was released back in February, and written by D'Mile, Tiara Thomas and H.E.R. The music video was directed by Child.
"We just started to talk and that's honestly why I love working with D'Mile and Tiara because I can talk to them," said H.E.R. told Apple Music's Zane Lowe. "We have these conversations and there's a comfortability. I think the biggest thing was listening to some of our favorite, some of my favorites: Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield and people like that, Sly and the Family Stone."
The film “Judas and the Black Messiah” focuses on Fred Hampton who was chairman of the Black Panther Party in the late 1960s. It was directed by Shaka King, starring Daniel Kaluuya, Lakeith Stanfield, Jesse Plemons, Dominique Fishback, Ashton Sanders, Darrell Britt-Gibson, Lil Rel Howery, Algee Smith, and Martin Sheen.
The film won Best Supporting Actor – Motion Picture at the Golden Globe Awards. “Fight For You” is nominated for Best Original Song for Academy Awards.- source : Spotify
