British-American singer-songwriter MEARA released a new song “Blackbird” from her upcoming debut album on March 26, 2021.
The track was written by Norma Jean Martine, Max Mostley and MEARA.
The debut album consist of 8-part story, Blackbird being chapter 1, the awakening. Each song's artwork has very symbolic, distinctive colours.
She has already filmed a music video for the song, which will be released soon.
MEARA shared on social media, “This song is Chapter 1, of a story about reconnection. We're all born with a free, unapologetic, fierce self. Life slowly starts to disconnect us from it, and cage us in. Blackbird is about reclaiming your whole, powerful self and trusting it to lead you in the right direction. I love that songs can mean different things to different people. I'd love to connect and hear your take on Blackbird”.
