Hayley Williams Releases Cover of Massive Attack's “Teardrop”
American rock band Paramore's Hayley Williams released a cover of Massive Attack's “Teardrop” on January 15, 2021.
Hayley Williams shared on social media, “surpriseeee! just released my cover of “Teardrop” from the @allycoalition benefit. produced by me 😚”
Last December, she performed the song for Jack Antonoff’s benefit concert for the Ally Coalition Talent Show in support of homeless LGBTQ youth.
The virtual concert also featured performances by Lana Del Rey, St. Vincent, Brittany Howard and Bleachers, among others.
The original version of the song was released by British trip hop group Massive Attack in 1998 from third studio album “Mezzanine”. The song features former Cocteau Twins' Elizabeth Fraser.
It was written by Robert “3D” del Naja, Andrew “Mushroom” Vowles, Elizabeth Frazer and Grantley “Daddy G” Marshall.- source : ABC Audio
