Australian singer-songwriter Delta Goodrem has released a new song “Solid Gold” from her upcoming sixth studio album “Bridge Over Troubled Dreams”.
The track is features uptempo, rich and nostalgic tones that is like Fleetwood Mac vibe, unlike her previous songs.
It was written by Matthew Copley, Marla Altschuler and Delta Goodrem.
“At the very core, ‘Solid Gold’ is an uplifting and empowering message reminding someone who has taken you for granted of your worth and strength,” Delta Goodrem said. “‘I’m gonna take your bad heart’ and remind them ‘what you had was always solid gold.’”
Also, she explained about the song in an interview with Grazia Magazine. “Every instrument was recorded live and we really wanted to capture that upbeat, fun, retro sound, but with a modern feel. I want people to feel good, dance and sing along when they listen to it. It’s an empowering song about reminding someone of your worth and strength; a song you sing along to with your mates and jam out to in the car with all the windows down.”- The new album is her first LP in four years. She said, "My next album has really been about being transparent and finding that part of me that wants to be my authentic self at all times. The album is incredibly personal, raw and honest. I have opened up and shared stories that I have not shared before and people have really resonated to the transparency and vulnerability. I just want to make good music for people to have as soundtracks to their own lives."
