Billie Eilish Performs at NPR Music Tiny Desk Home Concert
American singer-songwriter Billie Eilish and producer FINNEAS appeared on NPR Music Tiny Desk Home Concert to perform “my future” and “everything i wanted” from the comfort of her own home.
“my future” is her latest single which was released on July 30th. Recently, she performed the song at 2020 Democratic National Convention.
Billie Eilish said of the song, “I spent years and years relying on having someone—I could never be alone. It’s not something you’d think about being hard. But when you’re in that alone zone, it’s a new feeling. I feel like people—everything is about love. There’s nothing that talks about how being alone is really powerful.”
“everything i wanted” is her first single following her debut album “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?”. Also it appeared on the album as bonus track.
She said of the song, “We wrote the first verse of that song [“everything i wanted”] a year ago. I think it was either August or September of 2018….Two weeks ago, I wanna say, we had one day and it had to be done. Finneas was like, “We have to be done by tomorrow” and I was like, “There is absolutely no way that that’s gonna happen.” He was like, “We’re almost done” and I was like, “Shut up” ‘cause I thought we weren’t but then we were and it was done.”-
