Elodie Rêverie Releases New Song “Gold Rush”
- Six months ago, Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Elodie Rêverie released her debut song “Gold Rush” via SoundCloud.
The electronic instrumental song garnered over 14K streams.
Following the debut song, she released a new song “Gold Rush” on August 9th. The song features ’60s and ’70s sound unlike the debut song.
She wrote the song during a two week period following an injury in her music studio that left her unable to hear. The song is an exploration of searching for success in Los Angeles and a tribute to '70s music.
When she was in college, she spent six months in the desert near her California home. “The desert is the place where I learned how to make fire with natural materials. It was the most exhilarating thing I’d ever experienced,” she recalled an episode that influenced her music. “[That feeling] is what I’d been chasing for a long time.”
Elodie Rêverie is currently working on her upcoming EP with sound engineer Chase McElhaney.
