Paulina Releases New EP “everything's still”
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Paulina released her sophomore EP “everything's still” on August 16, 2024.
The EP is her first project since the 2023 debut EP “The Show Goes On”.
The EP comprises a 3-track, all songs were written by Paulina Ella Levitan and produced by Sam Merkin.
Paulina said of the EP, “The title of my EP, 'everything's still,' was inspired by one of my favorite Noah Kahan songs, 'The View Between Villages,. The closing line of the song, 'and everything's still,' really resonated with me. It feels so uplifting, like it's the moment you can finally breathe again. That's how making this EP made me feel; I wanted to embody that feeling.”- Paulina explained about some tracks for the EP.
“stranger”
“It's about the phenomenon of someone close to you becoming a complete stranger. It's haunting, bold, and more angsty than my past songs. It introduces a different side of me, unlocking a new era of music that has been insanely fun to create.
Created this back in November and had Sam Merkin bring it to life. I wanted to experiment with sound, push the limits, & explore a new side. I wanted to make something cinematic, haunting, & hard hitting.” -
“a song I wrote”
“The final song on the EP is about questioning whether or not the person still thinks about you. And it's the realization that even if they don't admit it, you know there will always be things that remind them of you - like the song you wrote that you know they'll be listening to. It's a sassy, mic drop conclusion to the breakup story.”
