Eric Sleeper Releases New Song “White Fences”
American singer-songwriter Eric Sleeper released the second single of 2024 called “White Fences” on May 10, 2024, following the release of “Lotto” back in March.
He recorded the song with producer Simon Ficken at Backroom Studios in Rockaway, NJ. Simon Ficken also contributed as a drummer on the track.
The new single is a song about discovering your unique journey and escaping from societal norms and expectations.
Eric Sleeper said of the song, “'White Fences' is about finding your own path, letting go of the expectations, and being yourself. The 'white fence' symbolizes the standard and norm, the American dream.”
He continued, “I would much rather be myself, create, and struggle to be happy. That is represented in the line, 'If it means I'm not them, I'd rather lose than win.'”- Eric Sleeper shared on social media, “This one was truly an experience for me to write and record, and l gave it all I've got. White Fences is about veering away from the norm, and not comparing yourself to those who 'have it all' and aren't even happy, and are playing an act. Find your path, and be yourself, and don't let standards or norms decide the path for you!”
