Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Wax and Eric Krasno Release New Song “Higher” featuring Talib Kweli & Nigel Hall
American rapper Wax and Los Angeles-based modern funk guitarist Eric Krasno will release their upcoming collaborative album “LIGHT YEARS” in July 2024 via Feel Music Group.
The duo will deliver a new single each month leading up to the album’s grand reveal in July.
From the album, the duo released the second single called “Higher” on May 3, 2024, following the release of “In My Zone” back in March.
This time, the duo teamed up with American rapper Talib Kweli and American funk band Lettuce's frontman Nigel Hall on the track.
The track was written and produced by Eric Krasno and Michael Jones.
Wax said of the new project, “I get to really just be a rapper on this project, so I took the time to craft the verses meticulously. I want people who hear this that have no idea who I am to go 'oh, i see why Kraz fucks with this dude."
He added, “I like working with Kraz because when we feel like we have made something dope he turns up the volume, gets out of his producer chair, and just kinda stalks around the studio feeling the music. He ALWAYS has fun when he works. Not everyone is like that.”- source : Apple Music
