London-based singer-songwriter Joel Stewart released the second single called “Bare Knuckles” from his upcoming EP “The Fountain” on April 26, 2024.
The song is energetic and driving, tough and tender with electric guitar fills, creating a perfect blend of beauty and chaos.
The track was written by Joel Stewart and produced by Jack Trouble.
The EP is expected to be released this summer.
Joel Stewart said of the song, “'Bare Knuckles' is the 2nd single from my upcoming 2024 EP The Fountain. I can be pretty erratic and I wrote this song in a time when I was feeling incredibly stressed about the path ahead. It was a very cathartic process, and being the first song I wrote for this project, became the start of that next chapter I was looking for. I owe a lot to this song. It helped get me out of a bit of a hole. I recorded it down at Spiritual Studios in Camden, with my good pal Jack Trouble. I hope there is a perfect blend of beauty and chaos, to reflect the lyrics about love, life, and relationships.”- He shared on social media, “The evolution of Bare Knuckles! Almost 2 years since I wrote this song. I spent a year performing it live before thinking about recording, as I felt it was important to understand what energy it held.”
He continued, “I can't believe this song is now yours. It was the first one I wrote for this project which feels like a long time ago now. I owe a lot to this track. It helped me get out of a bit of a hole. Hope you like the sounds.” -
