New York-based singer-songwriter Gabi Sklar released a new song “Youniverse” on February 16, 2024.
The song is taken from her upcoming EP and encapsulates the feeling of love, loss and the grief that comes with the distance.
It was written by Gabi Sklar, Isabella Sjöstrand, and Anton Göransson who also produced the track.
Gabi Sklar told Sweety High about the song in an interview, "'Youniverse' is a sister track to another song on the EP, 'Back To Earth.' They both explore the idea of love, loss and the grief that comes with the distance. The main difference between the two is the sense of closure (as much as that possibly can be) behind the idea of losing someone.”
She continued, “I took the sentiment, 'it's their world, we're just living in it' and felt the level of narcissism was more severe than that. 'World' just didn't cut it--it had to be their entire you-niverse.”- source : Apple Music
