  • Corbyn Besson Returns With New Song “Love Me Better”

  • Former Why Don't We and American singer-songwriter Corbyn Besson returned with a new song “Love Me Better” on February 7, 2024.

The song is the first solo single after Why Don't We taking a hiatus. He signed to BMG as a solo artist Last December.
He shared on social media, “So so so excited to announce I officially signed my solo deal over at BMG!!!”
He co-wrote the song with Why Don't We's members Daniel Seavey and Jonah Marais, along with other writers Connor McDonough, Jakob Erixson, Riley McDonough, and Rob Grimaldi.
Produced by Connor McDonungh, Riley McDonough, and Rob Grimaldi.
The track was originally written as a single for Why Don't We, but was put aside when the group went on hiatus.
The accompanying music video was directed by Matt Shaffar.
Corbyn Besson said of the song, “I wrote it about what it felt like to finally break free from someone that wasn't treating me the way I deserved to be treated (and threw in some lyrics for those of y'all who have toxic exes lol). I hope it encourages you to love yourself a little better too.”
  • “This feels like a significant turning point for me,” Corbyn Besson said.. “When you join a band, even through all the good you're always wondering when it will end, and the goal is to have as good of a time and as much success as you can in the group. But what comes after that is always the question, and this is it. 'Love Me Better' is an anthem about breaking free and moving on from someone or something that isn't treating you the way you deserve to be treated.”
He continued, “The beauty of music is how it connects people emotionally regardless of language or background. A song can be a three-minute escape from the world around you during a challenging time or it can enhance things that are fun or uplifting. I really want people to feel good listening to my music. I want to be a safe place for my fans to turn to when they feel like they've got nowhere else to go, because they've been that for me.”
