Annabel Gutherz Releases New Song “Eclipse”
Montreal-based singer-songwriter Annabel Gutherz closes out this year on a new song “Eclipse”.
The song was released as the second single of 2023 on December 15, following the release of “Saturn's Rings” back in May.
The track was written by Annabel Gutherz, Bret 'Epic' Mazur, and Mikal Blue. Produced by Bret 'Epic' Mazur and Mikal Blue.
Blending classic rock influences with modern pop sounds, the track is a vivid and textured song that showcases an artist who has found her voice.
“'Eclipse' is about my tendency to compare myself to others and the impact this has on my self-esteem,” Annabel Gutherz said of the song. “I would rather be concentrated on purpose than consumed by comparison despite how challenging it may be at times, especially given the ubiquitous nature of social media. This single showcases my desire to focus on my own path and nurture my inner confidence.”
- She shared on social media, “I started writing “Eclipse” on the keyboard in my bedroom in Montreal, continued writing it on the keys of my computer flying over the Colorado Rocky Mountains, and finished writing it on the late and legendary Christine McVie's piano keys in a studio tucked between the rolling hills of Thousand Oaks, California… It's a song that was a journey and a bridge to a new beginning.”
