Magenta Moon Returns With New Song “Perceive Yourself”
Los Angeles-based indie-rock duo Magenta Moon, consisting of Elaina Whitesell (lead vocals/bass) and Joey Petrarca (guitar/vocals), returned with a new song “Perceive Yourself” on November 29, 2023.
The song is the follow-up to “Liquid Heaven”, which was last February.
The track was written by Elaina Whitesell and Joseph Petrarca. The mixing was handled by Andrew Solis, with mastering by Nick Townsend, and Patrick Mannella on drums.
On the track, the lyrics and melodies intertwine to convey a powerful message of self-acceptance and self-love.
The duo said of the song, “From our humble beginnings, we've evolved and stretched our creative boundaries. 'Perceive Yourself' is a mirror of our growth, and we're excited for our fans to dive into it.”- They continued, “We wrote this song as a reminder for ourselves and those we love that it's okay to witness yourself. There's nothing wrong with seeing yourself where you are. Wherever you are has value and is an important part of the world and your story. When you choose to perceive yourself, you witness your own story fully.”
The duo has already filmed a music video, which is coming soon.
The video was directed by Miguel Vite, featuring concert footage and slice-of-life moments from the festival. -
