  • NewDad Premieres New Song “Nightmares” on BBC Radio 1

  • London-based Irish rock band NewDad, consisting of Julie Dawson (vocals/rhythm guitar), Cara Joshi (bass), Sean O'Dowd (lead guitar) and Fiachra Parslow (drums), premiered a new song “Nightmares” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.

The song is the fourth single off of their upcoming debut album “MADRA”, which is set to be released on January 26, 2024.
The track was written by Julie Elisabeth Dawson and Justin Parker. Produced by Chris W Ryan and Justin Parker.
The band has already filmed a music video for the song, which is coming soon.
The band lead singer Julie Dawson told Clara Amfo about the song, “This song came from that place. I think we've all been there at different periods in our life where you're like, I can't like this person. I can't be with this person forever. But that was where that whole sentiment came from. Like, I hope you're my nightmares because dreaming about you when it can't happen is you know, it's unfair.”
She continued, “I get that because even like playing the album to like my parents and stuff, there's certain songs I'm like, Oh, I just like I don't want them to ask. It is definitely very personal, but that's just life.”
