MALU Releases New Song “Heavy Baggage”
Danish-Corsican singer-songwriter Marie-Louise Pierini, aka MALU released a new song “Heavy Baggage” on October 27, 2023.
The song is the follow-up to Small Talk”, which was released back in August.
Marie-Louise Pierini wrote the song with Angela Mukul in Los Angeles back in June. Produced by Nick Pingree.
She has already filmed a music video for the song directed by Julie Montauk, which is coming soon.
The track focus on self-awareness, and the desire to move forwards in life without own past.
MALU said of the song, “‘Heavy Baggage’ is an ode to self-realisation and explores the art of moving forward without being held hostage by your past. It’s about finding that rare individual who doesn’t just share your load but teaches you how to lighten it.”- She explained her music, ”I have always been busy living up to an idea of who I am supposed to be. Through music I become spontaneous. Here, I can flirt with my identity crisis, set my own boundaries, make fun of my own perfectionistic ego and sing myself to become who I want to be.”
