  • piri & tommy Premieres New Song “bluetooth” on BBC Radio 1

  • British pop duo piri & tommy, consisting of Sophie McBurnie and Thomas Villiers, premiered a new song “bluetooth” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.

The song is the fourth single of 2023 as the duo, following “updown”, “lovergirl”, and “nice 2 me”.
It was written and produced by Sophie McBurnie and Tommy Villiers.
The track draws how Gen Z form connections online.
piri said of the song, “bluetooth really feels like a new and improved iteration of the original piri & tommy vibe. It's a dreamy laid back love song over sunny drum and bass, with brazilian guitars backed by a huge atmosphere built by layers of synths and vocals.”
  • She continued, “tommy and I both really flexed our creative muscles with this one I think and we're both super proud to have made this track 100% just coming from us. It's entirely self produced, written, recorded and mixed! This is definitely the cutest song I've ever written and I'm super proud of every line. we really hope you get swept away into our dreamy gen z world with this track!! The bluetooth device has now paired successfully.”
piri told Clara Amfo abou what it means for her to connect with someone, “Everything really in it like, you can even connect with people in more ways than ever, especially with your music online like. I think it's grown more and more to be honest, because we really try and like just be ourselves online and like all of our all of our posts. I think people are getting to know us more.”
