Kayla DiVenere Releases New Song “Date Myself”
Los Angeles-based Canadian singer-songwriter Kayla DiVenere released a new song “Date Myself” on October 11, 2023 via Sound Factory Records.
The song is the follow-up to “Jumping the Gun”, which was released back in August.
Both songs showcase a more mature and intentional alt-leaning pop sound.
The track was written by Kayla DiVenere, Greg Shilling, and Nathaniel Clay. Produced by Cooper Holzman and Nathaniel Clay.
On the new track, she vents her frustrations with modern dating culture and all the disappointments that come with it.
Kayla DiVenere said of the song, “Writing 'Date Myself' reminded me of how beautiful it is to spend time by yourself, and how important it is to be comfortable owning your high standards and loving yourself.
