The Dollyrots Releases New Song “When We're Sober”
Los Angeles-based punk rock band The Dollyrots, consisting of Kelly Ogden (vocals/bass), Luis Cabezas (guitar), released the second single called “When We're Sober” from their upcoming album “Night Owls” on September 22, 2023.
The track was written by Kelly Ogden and Luis Cabezas. Produced by John Fields and The Dollyrots.
The band lead singer Kelly Ogden said of the song, “As a band who writes songs about knowing how to party, we can honestly say we’re pretty good at it. But we also know testing limits means maybe you’re not so sure about your own. “When We’re Sober” isn’t an anti-drinking song, and it’s not a pro-drinking song. It’s more about acknowledging how easy it is to lose control of something when you aren’t aware of your own tendencies.”
- The new album comprises 13-track and is set to be released on October 13, 2023.
The band said of the album “You know how they say a band's first album is usually their best? Well, I think because we had time for this one, you know, since the world stopped due to Covid, it's a lot like a first album. We had so many bits and pieces and once we could finally get into the studio it all just flew out of us, like we had been holding something vital & urgent in for years. Because we had. If you love The Dollyrots you'll love 'Night Owls'. If you don't know The Dollyots, you'll probably love it too.”
