  • Blanco White Releases New Song “Una Noche Más”

  • London-based singer-songwriter Josh Edwards, aka Blanco White released a new song “Una Noche Más” on September 8, 2023.

The song is the third single off of his upcoming sophomore album “Tarifa”, which is set to be released on September 29, 2023 via Nettwerk.
The track encapsulates feelings of torment as a relationship comes to a close.
It was written and produced by Josh Edwards.
Josh Edwards said of the song, “This song helped me make sense of the end of a long relationship and was part of the grieving process that comes with a break up. It's often very difficult to let go during that time, and you find yourself clinging on to all the memories. 'Una Noche Más' translates as 'One More Night' and tries to encapsulate some of those feelings of not being able to let go. The making of the song felt quite solitary and it was the first time I wrote, produced and mixed a track alone. I think the very personal nature of the song contributed to that kind of process, and made me feel more protective over it than normal.”
  • He continued, “I let go of that protective nature in the final stages when MAVICA and Charlotte Schnurr added their voices to track, bringing out a depth and vulnerability that had been missing without them. Their voices have added so much to the record as a whole. Rhythmically the unusual time signatures of 11/4 and 10/4 are what drew me to the musical idea in the first place. I think they give the song a lightness and wandering feeling that never quite resolves.”
The new album comprises 11-track, featuring a guest appearance from MAVICA, produced by Josh Edwards in collaboration with Nubiyan Twist's Pilo Adami, with additional production from Bullion.
It is his first album in three years.

  • Josh Edwards shared on social media, “It’s a special one to me - really hope you enjoy it. The meaning of the song was pieced together after the end of a long relationship. It became part of the grieving process that comes with a break up, and helped me try to make sense of things at a difficult time.”
He continued, “The making of it was a very solitary process until the end when @lottiegabrielmusic and @iammavica lent their voices to it. I’m very grateful to them for all they contributed. Their performances gave an emotional depth to the song that had been missing. It was mixed by me and then mastered beautifully and delicately by Alex Wharton.”
He added, “I want to thank Andy Goff and Sequoia Ziff for all their help making the music video. It was created with footage filmed by Sequoia and myself, mostly in Tarifa, before being brought to life and animated by Andy and his colleague Ben Harris. It’s up on YouTube so go give it a watch! It was a lot of fun to make. Hope you enjoy the song.”
