  • Dolly Parton Covers The Beatles' “Let It Be” featuring Paul McCartney & Ringo Starr

  • American singer-songwriter Dolly Parton released a cover of The Beatles' “Let It Be” on August 18, 2023.

The song is featured on her upcoming first rock album “Rockstar”, which is set to be released on November 17, 2023.
Dolly Parton was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year, but initially declined the honor as she has a background in country music and not rock.
So, she announced to record the album “Rockstar” of rock covers with a host of musical guests from that genre to justify her inclusion.
This time, The Beatles' original members Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr joined in the song.
Also, the track features British guitarist Peter Frampton on guitar and British rock band Fleetwood Mac's Mick Fleetwood playing percussion.
The original version of the song was released by The Beatles as the title track from the 1970 album “Let It Be”.
  • Dolly Parton shared on social media, “Well, does it get any better than singing Let It Be with Paul McCartney who wrote the song? Not only that, he played piano.”
She continued, “Well, it did get even better when Ringo Starr joined in on drums, Peter Frampton on guitar and Mick Fleetwood playing percussion. I mean, seriously, how much better does it get?”
Paul McCartney answered, “Thanks Dolly for doing my song. I love your version and am very pleased to be by your side on this one. Rock on!”

  • The new album will feature 21 covers of classic songs, along with nine of her own originals. Featuring 40 guest artists, including Miley Cyrus, Sheryl Crow, Lizzo, Elton John, Chris Stapleton, Stevie Nicks, Sting, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and among others.
Dolly Parton said of the album in a press release, “I am very honoured and privileged to have worked with some of the greatest iconic singers and musicians of all time and to be able to sing all the iconic songs throughout the album was a joy beyond measure.”
