  • Asking Alexandria Announces New Album “Where Do We Go from Here?”, Shares Two New Songs “Psycho” & “Bad Blood”

  • British rock band Asking Alexandria, consisting of Ben Bruce (lead guitar), James Cassells (drums), Cameron Liddell (rhythm guitar), Sam Bettley (bass) and Danny Worsnop (lead vocals), has announced their eighth studio album “Where Do We Go from Here?” will be released on August 25, 2023 via Better Noise Music.

It is their first album in two years since the 2021 album “See What's on the Inside”.
The album comprises 11-track, produced by Matt Good.
“‘Where Do We Go From Here?’ Is the culmination of our entire journey as a band,” lead guitarist Ben Bruce said of the album. “We worked really hard to incorporate every aspect of what our fans love about Asking Alexandria. We have taken elements from every single record we have ever written and pieced them all together to create one album. Our fans will find elements from ‘Stand Up and Scream,’ such as the synth-tinged breakdown on ‘Things Could Be Different,’ all the way through to ‘See What’s On The Inside’ on this album. Lyrically, the album explores themes of loss and struggle through to hope and finding your own inner strength. We are incredibly proud of this album, and we can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”

From the album, the band released two new songs “Psycho” and “Bad Blood”.
Both songs were written by Matt Good, Benjamin Bruce, Danny Worsnop, James Cassells, and Paul Alexander Bartolome. Produced by Matt Good.
The accompanying music video for “Psycho” was directed by Wombat Fire, who also created a lyric video for “Bad Blood”.
Ben Bruce said of the song,“‘Psycho’ is one of those songs that is talking about when you feel trapped inside your own head, trapped by your own vices and your own downfalls. Whether it’s being stuck in a relationship that doesn’t work for you, or feeling like you can’t stop drinking or doing drugs, or maybe you’re stuck in a job that you hate, and you’re just battling yourself in your own head wondering ‘why am I still here? Why do I keep doing these things?’. Ultimately, at the end of the day we all feel a little bit crazy…a little bit like a Psycho. It’s just a fun song that we can all relate to, and stylistically we thought to ourselves ‘how do we make a song that sounds like it could live on the ‘Like A House On Fire’ album, but also like it could live on the ‘From Death to Destiny’ album?’. So musically, from a writing standpoint, it was a really enjoyable experience to meld those two eras of Asking Alexandria together and see what that might look like.”
