Edie Yvonne Releases New Song “In the Rain”
Los Angeles-based actress and singer-songwriter Edie Yvonne released a new song “In the Rain” on June 30, 2023.
The song is the follow-up to “Stain”, which was released back in April.
She conveys the mental spiraling that arises in the aftermath of an intense conversation affecting authenticity through the track.
“I wrote the song on a night during a loud storm in LA while trying to sit with the hurt and calm down the pain,” Edie Yvonne said of the song. “I wrote 'In the Rain' after an argument with a loved one, processing the words, my responses, the fears projected onto me, the resentments, and trying to sit with those feelings when it's someone you truly care about.”
She added, “I was trying to understand the emotions and hoping the song could provide some healing down the road.”
Outside of music, as an actress, her big screen debut was in the role of “Kitty” in Chloe Sevigny's directorial debut Kitty which debuted at Cannes.
