Alexa Cappelli Releases New Song “Backwards” featuring Knox
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Alexa Cappelli released the second single of 2023 called “Backwards” on June 30, 2023 via Arista Records.
This time, she teamed up with Nashville-based singer-songwriter Knox on the track.
It is their first collaboration and they crafted an emotionally charged and empowering breakup anthem.
The track was written by Alexa Cappelli, Christian French, Jackson Foote, Knox and Rob D'Andrea.
Produced by Jackson Foote, Rob D'Andrea and Christian French. The accompanying music video was directed by Chase Denton.
Alexa Cappelli said of the song, “'Backwards' is about that part of a breakup when you realize you have made it through the pain. It's liberating to be able to look back on old relationships after moving on, regardless of if the other person hasn't been able to. In the past, people have tried to come back in my life only to tell me they haven't been able to let go - I never want to hold grudges, and they shouldn't either.
