Usher Returns With New Song “GLU”
American R&B singer-songwriter Usher retuned with a new song “GLU” on March 17, 2023.
The song is his first single in three years since the 2022 “Bad Habits” and will appear on his upcoming ninth studio album.
The track was written by Sean “The Pen” Garrett, Lil Jon, Bobby Ross Avila, Issiah J. Avila, and Usher Raymond IV.
Produced by Sean “The Pen” Garrett, Lil Jon, and The Avila Brothers.
He has already filmed the music video for the song, featuring Lori Harvey, which is coming soon.
The new album is expected to be released later this year. It is his first album in seven years since the 2016 album “Hard II Love”.
Back in 2022, he told People about the album, “In COVID, while we have been in quarantine, my ideas changed. I actually learned new things. I was able to really be reflective and find out what things matter and really have some true, honest, deep conversations with people and myself, to take some ownership of some of where my life has gone and some of the things that I've come through. It is honest. So, yeah, I'm going to release an album this year, hopefully, but now it's just a matter of the timing, and what the name of the album is and all of that.”
