  • Shania Twain Releases New Album “Queen Of Me”: Streaming

  • Canadian singer-songwriter Shania Twain released her sixth studio album “Queen Of Me” on February 3, 2023.

It is her first album in six years since the 2017 album “Now”.
Also, the album marks the first artist release through Republic Nashville. She signed to the label in 2022.
“I'm honored and excited to be the label's first artist and lead the charge of this new and exciting chapter,” Shania Twain said. “In this respect, it feels like a new beginning all around, and I'm embracing it wholeheartedly.”
Back in 2018, she underwent open-throat surgery due to vocal issues caused by a 2003 bout with Lyme disease. The album is her first project after rehabilitation.
She shared on social media, “I wrote this album from a place of feeling good within myself - I wanted music that got me up dancing and lifted my spirits! I think the fact that I recorded this album with so many good hearted and talented people only amplified that! I hope the album brings you joy and empowers you to feel good in your own skin!”
The album title named after the 8th track, she said, “A song like 'Queen of Me' becoming the album title is very intentional, because it's really me taking charge of my own mood. No one else is responsible. Not COVID, not anyone, not anything, for my frame of mind. I'm the boss of me.”

The album comprises 12-track, produced by Shania Twain, Tyler Joseph, Adam Messinger, Mark Ralph and David Stewart.
Shania Twain said of the album, “For me, the track order is as important as the music itself. Just like the music, it takes you on a journey and it's gotta be just right! And as a homage to my roots... I had to add a little punctuation in there.”
She continued, “The reaction has been incredible. To be declared an icon is just... surreal, humbling... empowering! I feel empowered! I wanted my performance to reflect that and celebrate… myself, not in an egotistical way, but in celebrating my power, of walking my own path, of being brave! This industry is intimidating! Life generally can be intimidating - You just gotta stay strong and always remember your power. I've carried that message through my whole working life and I sure ain't stopping now!! My new album reflects exactly that. Embracing your individuality, trusting your gut and drop kicking down those doors! You be the queen of you, i'll be the queen of me”
